[edit]Where does the information come from? Are these neutral sources? If biased, is that bias noted? A: The sources for this article are mostly from newspaper companies like the Los Angeles Times or the New York Times. However, there are multiple sources from academic journals, as well as some input from local Universities with their views regarding Koreatown in Los Angeles. Many of these sources are neutral and are heavily factual, backing up their claims with logical explanations and statistics rather than having a bias and putting forth opinions.
Check a few citations. Do the links work? Is there any close paraphrasing or plagiarism in the article? A: The links are fully functional, and provide direct access to the sources cited by the author. The paraphrasing in the article are mostly reinterpreted in the author's own words, and show no obvious traces of plagiarism. There is, however, very minimal content in this article. I believe that the author can utilize the sources even further to gain more information out of them.Sryu23 (talk) 17:08, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. Some of the links don't go to the sources cited. I've asked for some quotations. BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 05:55, 23 July 2019 (UTC)
Korean name
[edit]I removed the Korean wording because the article is not about an area of which the official language is Korean. BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 05:41, 22 August 2019 (UTC)
- I am not aware that is a Wikipedia rule.
- As I understand it, decisions on Wikipedia are primarily made by consensus. I have therefore looked to see if other ethnic neighborhoods on Wikipedia present their name in the language of the home country. Various editors have added a name translation to Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, Thai Town, Los Angeles, Little Armenia, Los Angeles and Little Bangladesh. Further, looking beyond Los Angeles, this format is also used in Chinatown, Manhattan, Chinatown, Philadelphia, Koreatown, Manhattan, Japantown, San Jose, Japantown, San Francisco and even Little Italy, Manhattan. As this format seems widely used and accepted on Wikipedia and among various editors, I have therefore restored this format to Koreatown, Los Angeles. Phatblackmama (talk) 17:03, 24 August 2019 (UTC)
Storyline
[edit]Why did you guys/gals not add? The Latasha Harlins story. I know south central was the city that she passed away in. 68.34.121.94 (talk) 23:36, 1 October 2022 (UTC)
